A ski mountaineering program among the Atomfjella mountains in one of the wildest and most fascinating regions on the planet. We are at extreme latitudes, these islands are just 640 km from the North Pole: here the polar ice pack encompasses the northern part of the island of Spitsbergen for almost the whole year, while the stupendous mountains of Atomfjella emerge from the Vesteralen glacier like mirages. At the end of April the sun is high all day, which allows you to ski at any time, suspended in an unreal atmosphere. The program involves collaboration with a local operator for snowmobile transport to the base camp in the Atomfjella area.

Travel program
DAY 1: meeting with the Local Guide in Longyearbyen, where this incredible 180 km journey begins from Longyearbyen through Arctic fjords and tundras populated by seals and polar bears. The Atomfjella Group is a mountain massif characterized by hundreds of steep slopes and fantastic peaks; the area is famous both for its location and for its deep skiable couloirs, as well as for the presence of many still unclimbed peaks. Meals and overnight stay at the base camp, which consists of a heated common tent used for social activities and dining, while smaller heated tents decorated with reindeer skins and mats will be used for sleeping.
DAY 2 - DAY 6: A different ski mountaineering program every day, with meals and overnight stay at the base camp. Each night there will be a need to keep polar bear watch: a unique and singular experience in the company of the midnight sun.
DAY 7: transfer to Longyearbyen and return to Italy.
