Ski Touring on the Volcanoes of Chile

  •   6 - 19 September 2026
An exciting journey on the volcanoes of Araucanía and the Región de Los Lagos. Chile, with its 4,350 kilometers in length, extends from the border with Peru to Tierra del Fuego. Here we find the most diverse landscapes and all types of climate zones: from the driest desert on Earth—the Atacama Desert—to the glaciers in Patagonia, from mountains over 7,000 meters high in the Andes to the Pacific Ocean. The central part of the country between Temuco and Puerto Montt is rich in renowned national parks, and it is precisely here that the most favorable conditions for ski touring are found: very close to one another, the volcanoes of Araucanía offer spectacular excursions, featuring vast slopes that rise from the forests, becoming progressively steeper up to the summit craters, some of which are active and provide thrilling natural spectacles. Snow is abundant thanks to humid currents arriving from the nearby Pacific Ocean; normally, a thick layer of transformed snow is topped with a powdery surface layer, guaranteeing exciting descents. All of this is enriched by breathtaking landscapes that vary from green forests to the blue of numerous lakes to the opalescent azure of the Pacific; rich and flavorful local cuisine, vibrant colors of the villages passed through enrich an already unique experience...

Upper Styria – ski mountaineering in the forests of the Obersteiermark

  •   9 - 16 January 2027
A week of ski mountaineering among the immense Austrian pine forests with the easternmost glaciers of the Alpine arc and the beautiful Dachstein as a backdrop—at 2,995 meters, the highest peak of the Northern Limestone Alps. The typical hospitality of the accommodations and the peaceful environment make this trip a proposal for those seeking a week of ski mountaineering dedicated to beautiful powder snow along panoramic trips without major technical difficulties! The trips always start from the bottom of picturesque, typically Austrian valleys often enclosed in deep rocky gorges, beyond which you reach open spaces and wide panoramic slopes above the pine forests. Upper Styria offers beautiful descents that alternate open slopes with vast coniferous forests; thanks to the rather cold climate and the weather systems that easily reach these mountains from Siberia, the snow is very often powdery and abundant.

Trois Vallées freeride

  •   15 - 17 January 2027
Les Trois Vallées, the three valleys in the heart of the French Alps, is the largest ski area in the world, bringing together some of the most beautiful resorts in the Tarentaise region. Our stay will begin in Val Thorens (or nearby), where we will be based for the entire trip. From here, the adventure begins—beautiful runs, challenging descents, easy slopes, but above all, unforgettable experiences. Countless lines to explore, always in search of the finest, softest, and untouched snow. Among the many routes, we won’t miss the chance to ski down Mont Vallon in Méribel, Pointe de la Masse, and Cime de Caron in Val Thorens. Short ascents with ski skins will allow us to access less-traveled itineraries, leading to Col de Gébroulaz (3,434 m) and Aiguille de Peclet (3,561 m) for dreamlike descents!

Testimonials

The comments of travelers who have had an experience with us:

Ski touring in the land of Iceland

Right at the time of long conflicts, with the planet's big shots hunting for rare earths and even threatening to butt heads—the kind that seriously harm the planet's health—we decided to look for a bit of peace in a truly unique land, where the only drift is continental and the cracks stop at the crust, seeking that rare lightness of fine powder, manna for every ski-nut. So, Iceland it is—the island bubbling with good and right things to let your gaze wander over infinite icy prairies and puffs of heat you can feel from your core. A marriage of opposites that joins hot and cold, stews and permafrost, and boiling ice. And so, after a spring welcome in Reykjavik and a night at the Hotel Aurora with not a hint of the Northern Lights, we settled into a quartet of studded Dacias in a caravan, not unhitching until Akureyri, our base for warming up the skins. Spread across 5 wooden cabins perched over the Blomsturvallavegur fjord, you realize that trees are a rare commodity here; they’ve stopped bothering and decided not to take root, making life easier for large clumps of sedge and an expanse of moorland tinted in burnt Iceland earth, trusting only in a generation of replanted ones that look like little groves combed with a rake. Welcoming us, as exceptional neighbors, were a few seals enjoying the usual daily chill and a ptarmigan on the doorstep, determined to ditch the trendy autumn-winter camouflage for a handful of cereal crumbs left by those who preceded us in the end-of-stay cleanup. Then, wandering over cones and slopes in a perfect democracy of peaks, all with an equal right to height, cloaked in a growing whiteness, day after day, snowfall after snowfall, with spirits rising and days now running out, finding that serenity of a meaningful peace, right where every human footprint is aware of the ephemeral step of a journey through time. P.S. A big thanks to all the fantastic adventure companions, to my bunkmate Davide, and to the super Mountain Guides Adriano and Stefano from Snowder—great people both in and out of their boots.

Giulio
