An Alpine tour of Argentera offers a mountaineering experience, allowing climbers to ascend the two peaks of the "Queen" of the Maritime Alps Natural Park—and much more! Each day includes the ascent of one of the massif’s main summits or the crossing of unique and less-traveled connecting trails. Participants will reach the summits of Punta and Monte Stella, Cima di Nasta, and Madre di Dio, eventually discovering the nearly forgotten remains of an aircraft that crashed in 1961 in a remote valley. This program is designed for well-trained hikers with some experience in normal route ascents off the beaten path. It can also serve as an immersive stage for learning normal route climbing techniques.

Travel program
Day 1: Meeting with the Alpine Guide at Terme di Valdieri at Rifugio Casa Savoia at 7:30 AM, equipment and clothing check, and departure for Rifugio Morelli Buzzi, reached after about three hours of scenic hiking. In the afternoon, knot-tying lessons, basic rope maneuvers, and abseiling techniques—everything needed to move safely in the coming days. Dinner and overnight stay in the hut.
Day 2: Breakfast and departure for Colle del Chiapous, followed by a brief descent before reaching the spectacular Passaggio del Porco, the gateway to the vast and solitary rocky basin that holds the main peaks of the Argentera massif. From here, the ascent to Monte Stella (3,262m) and Cima Nord dell'Argentera (3,286m) is completed. The long descent follows a spectacular trail, partly equipped with a metal cable, overlooking Lago del Chiotas, ending at Rifugio Genova, where dinner and overnight stay take place.
Day 3: A relatively calm and recovery day, featuring the ascent to Passo del Brocan and the optional climb to Cima di Nasta, whose namesake lake below is a hidden gem in the heart of the Maritime Alps. In the early afternoon, arrival at Rifugio Remondino, where dinner and overnight stay take place.
Day 4: Breakfast and departure for Passo dei Detriti, leading to the famous "Cengia," the normal route to Cima Sud dell'Argentera (3,297m). Descent via the same route and return to Rifugio Remondino, where dinner and overnight stay take place.
Day 5: Ascent to Cima della Madre di Dio via its normal route, a spectacular itinerary leading to a summit with a unique panorama over the entire Argentera massif. Descent via the same route and traverse to Rifugio Bozano, following the exposed and breathtaking trail leading to Bassa della Madre di Dio. Dinner and overnight stay in the hut.
Day 6: After breakfast, departure from Bozano Basin, facing the grand western side of Corno Stella, to complete its circuit. The route follows a series of faint trails, sometimes featuring short rocky passages, leading to the remote Vallone del Souffi, where a brief stop is made at the site of the wreckage of King Saud of Arabia's plane, which crashed over 60 years ago. Finally, the ascent to Punta Stella (2,567m), followed by a long descent passing Canalone di Lourousa and Bivacco Varrone, leading back to Terme di Valdieri.
