A tour around the queen of the Maritime Alps, Argentera (3,297 m), a peak in the heart of Valle Gesso, within the Maritime Alps Natural Park. This special edition is dedicated to young adventurers—an incredible opportunity to meet peers and embark on an unforgettable experience that will accompany them in their personal growth. We will traverse pristine and breathtaking natural landscapes, rich in wild beauty, while learning to observe and understand the local fauna. The journey follows comfortable trails and historic military mule tracks, surrounded by crystal-clear alpine lakes, ridges, and rocky walls dotted with snowfields. The golden hues of sunrise and sunset will accompany us on this trek, unveiling majestic mountains where nature and history intertwine. Peace and silence guaranteed.

Medium mountain guide
Medium Mountain Guide, Alpi Marittime Park Guide and International Tour Leader, she loves the mountain in all its facets: from sports to wild animals; most of the time she is dedicated to organizing daily treks and multi-day tours on the trails of the Alps at home and beyond. From the awareness that not everyone is good at skiing and - indeed - some like walking more than sliding, the idea was born together with Adriano and Paolo of proposing Snowder's travels in the spectacular Lofoten Islands and in the magical and wild Iceland using, also as excuse to leave, snowshoes instead of skis... Snow, wild nature, aurora borealis, SAUNA, and lots of adventure will be what we will look for on these trips!
Travel program
Day 1: Our trekking adventure begins at the picturesque Valdieri Thermal Baths, formerly known as the Royal Baths of the House of Savoy. We will immerse ourselves in one of the most fascinating valleys of Valle Gesso, where the majestic Lourousa couloir and the north face of Corno Stella will reveal themselves before us. It won’t be difficult to spot chamois and ibex along the way. The route leads us to the Morelli Buzzi refuge, nestled among towering rocky peaks. After reaching Colle del Chapous, we will descend on the opposite side to reach the vast Chiotas dam, which we will bypass to arrive at the Genova Figari refuge, where we will spend the night.
Day 2: Departure from the refuge for an adventurous traverse to another refuge: the Remondino refuge. We will cross one of the slopes of the Argentera massif, through a wild valley rich in rock formations, until we reach the stunning Brocan Pass, which rises close to 3,000 meters, offering a magnificent view of the entire Maritime Alps. We will then descend towards the Remondino refuge, but first, we will make a mandatory stop at Lake Nasta, a fully glacial basin surrounded by imposing rocky massifs exceeding 3,000 meters.
Day 3: Breakfast and departure from the Remondino refuge. This stage begins with a descent before embarking on the spectacular traverse leading to Bassa della Madre di Dio. The scenery is breathtaking, offering unique vantage points over the western slopes of Argentera and Corno Stella. From the pass, the trail continues through rugged scree fields, following a complex route that leads to the Bozano refuge. Dinner and overnight stay.
Day 4: We leave behind the most alpine section of the Maritime Alps and descend to Gias delle Mosche, from where we begin our ascent on the opposite slope. As we gradually move away from Argentera, the panorama of its towering walls becomes increasingly vast and grand, reaching its peak beauty near the Fremamorta lakes, whose waters reflect the entire route of the previous days. Finally, after crossing Colletto di Valasco, we descend into Val Morta, arriving in the late afternoon at the Royal Hunting Lodge of Valasco and, subsequently, the Valdieri Thermal Baths.
