New MTB Destination: The Azores! Often, in our favorite places, when the white of snow fades, green and blue take over, shining brighter than ever and radiating a magnetic energy. That’s why we’ve decided to offer you a journey to the lush Azores, in the heart of the Atlantic Ocean, halfway between Europe and Canada. Known worldwide for their thousand shades of green, deep blue lakes, vast natural landscapes, and Atlantic climate, these islands belong to Portugal as the Autonomous Region of the Azores. They are located about 1,300 km from the Portuguese coast, at the same latitude as Sicily. The name Azores likely comes from the blue color, as they appear bluish from afar. Another theory suggests that the Portuguese originally called them the "Islands of the Hawks" in the 1400s, during their discovery, due to the falcons soaring in the sky. With this in mind, it’s time to prepare our bikes, grab our cameras, and set off to explore the lost archipelago of the Azores! E-Bike Rental Available
