A trip that is exotic to say is an understatement!
The Aladaglar and Cappadocia mountains hide within their folds an infinity of small villages, hidden valleys surrounded by mountains and volcanoes that exceed three thousand meters in height... The ski mountaineering itineraries here are decidedly secluded, the crowds are discouraged by the rough environment of the Turkish mountains and leave room for authentic ski mountaineering.
We are in southern Turkey: the disturbed currents arriving from Siberia run free and cold over the great plains of Central Asia, enriching themselves with moisture from the Caspian Sea and Black Sea and giving these mountains abundant snowfall; the valleys, always deep and enclosed, sometimes severe and Dolomitic in appearance, require off-road approaches and elevation gains that often exceed 1,500 meters!
