A week of ski mountaineering among the immense Austrian pine forests with the easternmost glaciers of the Alpine arc and the beautiful Dachstein as a backdrop—at 2,995 meters, the highest peak of the Northern Limestone Alps.
The typical hospitality of the accommodations and the peaceful environment make this trip a proposal for those seeking a week of ski mountaineering dedicated to beautiful powder snow along panoramic trips without major technical difficulties! The trips always start from the bottom of picturesque, typically Austrian valleys often enclosed in deep rocky gorges, beyond which you reach open spaces and wide panoramic slopes above the pine forests. Upper Styria offers beautiful descents that alternate open slopes with vast coniferous forests; thanks to the rather cold climate and the weather systems that easily reach these mountains from Siberia, the snow is very often powdery and abundant.

Day 1: Departure from Cuneo by minibus (8 people) and journey to Admont arriving in the evening at the hotel
Day 2: Trip to the Gscheideggkogel (1788 m), starting a few steps from the farm that hosts us in the picturesque Johnsback Valley; the itinerary initially follows a forest track, then enters a series of valleys and clearings among the fir trees and reaches the summit just above the forests. Powder descent among the pines!!
Day 3: Trip to Leobner (2037)—a great classic of Styria, this trip starts from a deep valley and, after climbing up the vast pine forests to a collar, reaches the panoramic summit along wide slopes. It is an exciting descent with numerous possible variations in search of untouched snow. Before returning, stop at a farmhouse in the area (visit possible thanks to the owner's availability) to taste the local beer and the famous baked pork shank.
Day 4: Trip to Grosses Bareneck (2071 m)—this super panoramic and well-known Austrian trip goes up a long, rather wild valley with typically Alpine characteristics. It also has a varied and exciting descent!
Day 5: Ski mountaineering trip to Seekoppe (2148 m); we start from Winkel, a small rural hamlet a few km from our farmhouse, to go up a valley populated with deer and reach the summit between panoramic ridges and relaxing slopes.
Day 6: A splendid final trip to the Triebenkogel (2055) to crown a week of descents among the Austrian pine forests with a beautiful panoramic peak
Day 7: Return trip.
