The stunning rock monolith of Corno Stella (3051 m) offers an exceptional multipitch climbing school in the alpine heart of the Maritime Alps Natural Park, in the upper Gesso Valley. We are in the wonderful rocky amphitheater formed by the Catena delle Guide, Corno Stella, and the Argentera peak (3297 m), the highest elevation in this alpine sector. The rock is gneiss-granitoid, providing a distinctive and elegant climbing experience that demands balance and precision mixed with athletic and continuous movements. Rifugio Bozano (2450 m), located just a few minutes from the base of the Corno, has been a true meeting point for climbers and mountaineers since the dawn of alpinism: a place for sport, shared experiences, and travel stories, offering an exclusive stay under the professional care of Marco Quaglia, the long-time manager and guardian of this small yet legendary mountaineering temple.
The program is specifically designed for those who want to approach the world of multipitch climbing and rock mountaineering. It begins with an educational phase dedicated to learning and perfecting knowledge of knots, rope maneuvers, anchor point management, rock progression techniques, and rappelling. This is all conducted on the crags and excellently equipped multipitch routes around the refuge. During the second phase (the last two days), two ascents are made along the countless routes in the area, chosen consciously by the participants after studying the itinerary.
Note: The same program can be organized for under-20 groups.
Itineraries starting from grade 4, with levels adaptable to the participants' abilities.
