Monte Rosa is the temple of off-piste skiing: wide open spaces, an infinite variety of descents with difficulty levels for everyone—from beginners to steep-skiing enthusiasts—and modern lifts that let you make the most of your day. While it's true that the historic "Monte Rosa tour" is now partly served by lifts, the modern Punta Indren station quickly takes you to 3,200 meters, providing easy access to the great descents leading toward Gressoney (such as the Lys Valley) or Alagna, with its couloirs, glaciers, and isolated valleys surrounded by rock faces.
