Travel program

DAY 1: Val Veny – Our journey begins on the rugged and wild side of the Mont Blanc massif. Heading up the steady paths of Val Veny, we'll come face to face with the Miage Glacier, the largest Himalayan-style glacier in the entire Alpine arc. Its monumental mass, nestled between slender granite spires, radiates a primal force. We'll follow the valley along its entire length until we reach the panoramic Col de la Seigne. There, we'll see miniature icebergs floating on the waters of Lake Miage, a true fragment of Greenland tucked away in the heart of Italy. Return to the B&B, dinner on your own, and overnight stay.

DAY 2: Val Ferret – Val Ferret is a natural viewpoint suspended in time. We'll walk along the path toward Col Ferret, moving constantly in front of the spectacular ice flows of Pré de Bar and Triolet. The legendary vertical walls of the Grandes Jorasses will serve as the backdrop to high-altitude pastures and crisp air. The geometric perfection of the Mont Blanc range will stay with you as it reveals itself step by step, like an immense masterpiece on canvas. Return to the B&B, dinner on your own, and overnight stay.

DAY 3: Chamonix – On the third day, we'll cross the border to explore the French side and reach the famous Lac Blanc. Taking the Flégère lifts, we'll set off on a path that unfolds like a unique panoramic terrace, offering incredible views of the Mer de Glace and the Bossons glacier. Don't miss Mont Blanc reflecting symmetrically in the crystal-clear turquoise waters of the lake. Return to the B&B, dinner on your own, and overnight stay.

DAY 4: Cogne – We'll immerse ourselves in the untouched nature of Italy's first National Park. Starting from Cogne, we'll head up Valnontey, a flat valley of almost moving beauty. The route will take us right to the foot of the majestic Tribolazione and Gran Crou glaciers, where the whiteness of the perennial snow contrasts with the bright green of the larch forests. We'll encounter chamois and ibex grazing peacefully in the shadow of the most "Italian" 4,000-meter peak in the Alps. Return to the B&B, dinner on your own, and overnight stay.

DAY 5: The High Way of the Refuges (Vittorio Emanuele and Chabot) – Leaving Pont Valsavarenche, we'll make a steady climb toward the Vittorio Emanuele II Refuge. From here, a spectacular mid-mountain path winds its way, connecting the structure to the Chabot Refuge. This panoramic traverse is a privileged balcony that allows for a close-up look at the grand glacial flows of Gran Paradiso. We'll feel like part of the mountain, walking on ancient royal mule tracks just a breath away from the perennial seracs. Return to the B&B, dinner on your own, and overnight stay.

DAY 6: Cervinia – We'll conclude our trekking with the most intense emotion: a close encounter with the Matterhorn. We'll climb toward the Duca degli Abruzzi Refuge at Oriondé, on the historic Carrel Cross. The path will lead us exactly to the base of the Lion's Ridge, the legendary Italian normal route. Here, you don't just admire the glacier; you breathe the living rock of the Matterhorn. We'll be so close to the vertical wall that we can spot climbers on the face, while the Ventina glacier shines below us.
Descent and return to Aosta, where our trek ends.

NB The program may undergo changes in the price/timetables/location of overnight stays due to the unavailability of services (flights/overnight stays) to be verified when booking. On site, in less than optimal weather and safety conditions, the Alpine Guide will confirm the itineraries included in the program day by day.
