Ski mountaineering Food and Wine Experience in Valgrisenche

A high-class long weekend, combining three days of ski mountaineering in the heart of the beautiful Valgrisenche with gastronomy and tastings of excellent wines proposed by our trusted chef Marco Vittori, manager of the Fauniera refuge in upper Val Grana.

Every day we will go on a different ski tour, followed by a themed dinner designed by our chef! Nature and culture in a meeting between mountain professionals at the service of ski mountaineers with a refined palate.

Travel program

DAY 1 Meeting in Valgrisenche at 8:00 AM; baggage preparation to be taken directly to the refuge by snow groomer; we then set off for the “Il Sigaro” ski tour, reaching the summit in about three hours. After a short initial descent, we put our skins back on to go around the Truc della Seyaz and then resume skiing along the beautiful final descent that leads us to the village of Arolla; here an aperitif prepared by the chef awaits us. Themed dinner and overnight stay.

DAY 2 Wake up at 7:00 AM, breakfast, and departure for the trip. After reaching the village of Mont Forchat, we climb the steep slopes leading to the Glacier de Giasson, then to the pass, and finally to the summit of Becca di Giasson (3,215 m). A long and very varied descent, ending through a steep larch forest directly into the beautiful village of Arolla. Themed dinner and overnight stay.

DAY 3 Wake up early in the morning, breakfast, and a short descent to reach the valley floor. After putting on our skins, we climb towards the legendary Ormelune, a scenic and challenging route that leads to an altitude of 3,150 m.

After a spectacular descent, we return to the village of Arolla for the final themed lunch; after handing over the baggage to the snow groomer, we head back down to the valley.

NB The program may undergo changes in the price/timetables/location of overnight stays due to the unavailability of services (flights/overnight stays) to be verified when booking. On site, in less than optimal weather and safety conditions, the Alpine Guide will confirm the itineraries included in the program day by day.
