A fascinating spring ski mountaineering trip among the great mountains of Kyrgyzstan: an amazing turnover of immense pine forests and high-altitude pastures and prairies, at the bottom of which an infinite number of glaciers emerge. Those lead to peaks around 4000 - 4500 meters, a good part of which is unknown! Here ski mountaineering is a real exploratory experience: you will be certainly far from trendy resorts, crowded slopes or even just tracks! The only possible encounters are with the Kyrgyz shepherds or with the hunters riding up the valleys for the first spring hunts on the back of the legendary Kyrgyz horses and with an eagle perched on their arm… The mere journey from Bishkek - capital of Kyrgyzstan - to Tamga is an experience itself: the road crosses hills between semi-desert mountains and then runs along the great Issyk Kul Lake, one of the deepest lakes in the world. The view becomes increasingly harsh among flocks of sheep and herds of horses, and small villages where even today craftsmen build yurts in wood and felt.
